This model fits the Athearn AMD chassis with some minor modification. The HO version includes a one piece shell, separate fan castings, this allows the end user to use aftermarket "Q" type fans, cast windows,  and a metal horn. N scale version is a shell only and fits the Kato P42 chassis.
